Taylor Ferry is located in North-Eastern Oklahoma on Fort Gibson Lake, on Oklahoma State Highway 51, 5 Miles East Of Wagoner. Site of a Ferry Boat Crossing across the Grand River during the Indian Territory 1800's, it has become a popular tourist and vacation area. Taylor Ferry provides some of the best fishing grounds in the state. The community of Taylor Ferry has a population of about 2500 residents. During the summer, the population can surpass 10,000 when water sports are in high demand. Taylor Ferry is located on the far western edge of the Cherokee Nation.
